About Us

Brooklyn Doodles is an art enrichment program founded by Danielle Katz. Our mission is to cultivate an enrichment based environment driven by child-led activities and relationship building geared towards young learners. At Brooklyn Doodles classes are designed to enhance creative and cognitive development of children while they are playing, exploring, and making new friends and lifelong bonding connections.

Our Philosophy
Education for young children should never lose sight of play, hands-on experiences, and social emotional learning as critical components of any early childhood curriculum. At Brooklyn Doodles, we create a nurturing and stimulating environment in which children's curiosity is respected and creativity valued. We believe each child is unique and we do our best to nurture the intrinsic gifts that each one brings and shares with us. It is our goal that your child's creativity and self-esteem will be developed and strengthen. It is our goal that he or she will take away new ideas and concepts that will follow them through life. It is our goal that your child will find that learning in itself is an exciting and enriching adventure; one of growing and becoming.

Our Community
We strive to make our classroom a place where the children feel supported and safe. This involves cooperation between teachers, parents, and children. Through this partnership we create an environment that celebrates and values divergent interests, backgrounds, experiences, and beliefs. The relationship is not only integral to the growth and development of our program, but it helps to strengthened our classroom community in a truly meaningful way. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in classroom events, communicate interests and concerns, and support activities that benefit the success our program.
